Job Overview
The Operation Manager, Ivory Coast is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities and operations of the CFR program by ensuring that the operational processes run smoothly and efficiently, aligning with the organization's overall objectives. The Operation Manager reports to the Country Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients or accounts, ensuring strong relationships and high levels of satisfaction
- Support the development and execution of client-specific plans aligned with business objectives and service commitments
- Monitor client performance metrics, identify risks or service gaps, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Collaborate with Sales and cross-functional teams to support account growth and service expansion opportunities
- Participate in renewal discussions and contract execution processes as required
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operational execution to ensure service delivery meets established standards and timelines
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, technical, finance) to resolve operational challenges efficiently
- Lead resolution of client service issues and ensure timely communication and follow-up
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and maintain quality standards
- Maintain documentation, reporting, and workflow tracking systems to support transparency and accountability
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting operational performance, challenges, and opportunities
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure operational continuity and regulatory compliance
- Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements relevant to operations management
- Collaborate with SCS Global Services and other subsidiaries in alignment with established procedures and protocols
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Country, Program, or Technical Manager, and the Program Director
Quality and Development
- Ensure program compliance with corporate quality systems and external accreditation requirements
- Maintain consistent interpretation and application of applicable standards and protocols
- Manage internal and external audit processes, including tracking findings and supporting corrective actions
- Participate in the investigation and resolution of complaints involving accreditation bodies
- Adhere to and enforce quality standards, policies, and code of conduct requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with organizational objectives and drive process improvements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor performance data and support the development of action plans to improve operational KPIs
- Contribute to the development and refinement of procedures, workflows, and best practices
Financial Management
- Support budget tracking and cost monitoring to ensure operational efficiency
- Assist in forecasting revenue and resource needs for assigned accounts or programs
- Participate in pricing discussions and scope adjustments as needed
Team Leadership
- Provide day-to-day direction, guidance, and coaching to team members
- Support onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives
- Ensure consistent flow of audit projects, support, and field observation
- Track and manage audit project milestones and deadlines
- Manage auditor schedules and workloads
- Promote a collaborative, service-oriented, and accountable team culture
- Ensure clear communication of priorities and performance expectations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, environmental science, or a related field and
- 5+ years of experience in the sustainability, environmental, auditing, or certification and
- 2+ years of experience in project management or administration
- Excellent technical writing, observation, and data management skills
- Ability to complete time-sensitive projects and to provide realistic deadlines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to switch tasks quickly and comfortably
- Strong communication abilities and emotional intelligence
- Professional working experience with verbal and written fluency in French and English
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Initiative and ability to work independently and use professional judgement; responsive and adaptive
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in environmental science, sustainability, agricultural, food systems, or related field
- Experience with third-party auditing, certification systems, agricultural operations, ISO 9001:2015 quality systems, or other applicable industry standards and/or knowledge
- Proficiency in Salesforce and database management systems

Working Remotely
SCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This is a home-office based role and may include travel with local, domestic, and/or international trips. Details will be clarified during the recruitment process.
