Sales Executive, Europe

Job Overview
SCS is hiring a talented sales professional who is a self-starter, autonomous, and an effective collaborator to support building our brand and reinforcing our business in Europe. The Sales Executive, Europe is responsible for generating revenue for SCS Global Services Europe by selling existing programs and services to current and prospective clients, generating new business through sales leads, promoting assigned services, preparing proposals, and closing sales. The ideal candidate is passionate about our sustainability mission, has a history of demonstrated success, and can identify what's required to effectively articulate and elevate SCS Global Service's value proposition.

The Sales Executive, Europe works directly with the European team for various programs and countries. This important position reports to the Business Development and Strategy Director for Europe. This role represents a link between sales executives, marketing, programs, and operations, all based in Europe. The primary objective of the Sales Executive is to implement sales strategy and initiatives to generate qualified leads, leading to closed new business, and work jointly with the Marketing Manager and the sales team on event/activities coordination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategy Execution

  • Work closely with the Director of Business Development & Strategy for Europe to execute an effective sales strategy for the assigned programs, including a strong outbound (proactive) sales strategy and tactics for developing new business in markets where demand is growing
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of all service product offerings
  • Assist in identifying industry trends, key developments, and competitive landscape for SCS’ products and services; recommend and implement strategy to maximize competitive advantage
  • Participate in the development of sales strategy for Europe that will lead to the organization of sales campaigns/actions; generate leads to support sales goals in Europe
  • Collaborate across entities, divisions, and teams, including marketing teams, to create and exchange information such as selling strategies, marketing strategies, pricing, and marketing intelligence
  • Attend trainings and weekly sales meetings
  • Collect data on new sales pipeline to report during weekly sales meetings
  • Support competitive research to set up sales tactics

Outbound Sales

  • Generate and maintain sales pipeline by cold calling, responding to inquiries, referrals, and inbound (reactive) leads
  • Identify, participate, attend, coordinate, and promote industry events such as webinars and industry trade shows
  • Meet and exceed personal sales targets on a quarterly basis
  • Prequalify sales leads and maintain up to date status of all new business opportunities in CRM database (Salesforce)
  • Support and bring input to creative team to develop marketing materials adapted to the various European markets, and to ensure sufficient content and collateral are developed in support of the sales effort in Europe
  • Identify and recommend SCS participation in sector associations aimed at increasing the visibility of SCS in Europe
  • Stay up to date with SCS Global Services Europe social media posts and ad campaigns

Client Relationship Management

  • Assist in identifying opportunities for service bundling, new service development, cross-selling opportunities, and service enhancements to expand program offerings
  • Support public relations efforts of SCS Global Services Europe with European clients

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development, ideally in testing, inspection, certification (TIC) and sustainability sectors and
  • 3+ years of experience in a B2B environment selling highly technical programs or services and
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or similar field or 2+ years of equivalent work experience
  • Ability to comprehend and sell highly technical programs and services
  • Focus on data-driven sales initiatives
  • Good knowledge of sales and business performance metrics
  • Passion for sales and best practices with different B2B sales techniques
  • Capacity to prepare clean, presentable, and professional deliverables
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills; able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Strong desire to learn and expand knowledge about certification services and sustainability programs along with a professional drive
  • Full fluency in English and professional proficiency in at least one other major EU language (preference for two languages besides English), including German, Spanish, French, Italian, or Dutch
  • Proficient with business software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Sales CRM systems including experience with Salesforce
  • Initiative and ability to work independently and use professional judgement, responsive and adaptive

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or similar field
  • Applicants based in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany

Working Remotely
SCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This is a home-office based role and may include travel with local, domestic, and/or international trips. Details will be clarified during the recruitment process.

Estimated Annual Salary
48,000 - 59,000 EUR
