Job Overview
SCS Global Services is launching the Global Heat Reduction Initiative (GHRi), a groundbreaking approach to climate change mitigation, climate accounting, and the voluntary carbon market, based on the latest IPCC science. We aim to help businesses, public sector agencies, and civil society group around the world lower their climate impact through measures that contribute directly to lowering the planet’s excess trapped heat in the short term, so we can build a viable bridge to a net-zero future.

This role involves meticulous documentation and familiarity with carbon standards. This is a consultant position, offering flexibility and project-based work.

  • Develop Documentation: Produce and compile documentation and responses according to guidelines of each accreditation. Analyze existing documents and update where required to ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary details to inform the creation of documents and responses.
  • Review Documentation: Conduct a thorough review of both new and existing documentation and responses. Provide guidance and support to ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and meets quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate with internal GHRi team to raise and resolve issues related to the accreditation process.
  • Expertise and Guidance: Keep abreast of changes in accreditation standards and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance. Provide expertise on best practices for documentation management and accreditation processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field
  • Experience in document writing and development, management, and/or accreditation, preferably in the context of carbon offsetting or environmental sustainability
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards and requirements, particularly those related to carbon offsetting and climate action initiatives such as ICVCM’s CCP, CORSIA, and ICROA
  • Strong research skills with the ability to gather and analyze information from various sources to ensure compliance with accreditation criteria
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, essential for compiling, organizing, and maintaining documentation accurately
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral, for collaborating with internal teams, stakeholders, and accrediting bodies
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement in document management practices
