Job Overview
The Manager, Auditor Development is a key member of the SCS Global Services' Auditor Hub Team. The primary responsibility of the position is to monitor and strengthen compliance and competence of auditors and to implement a global strategy for improving auditor performance and training. The Manager, Auditor Development works closely with the Quality Assurance team and actively supports SCS programs in process improvements related to auditor performance, auditor health and safety, and disseminating best practices in auditing. This position is a key resource for developing the social auditor workforce at SCS Global Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support ongoing compliance with scheme and accreditation requirements (e.g., APSCA, ANAB, ASI) related to auditor quality and performance, including support during internal and external audit processes
- Develop and implement a corporate auditor performance tracking system, including witness audits, training records, and qualification tracking. Aid in the development of internal procedures, guidelines, and functional program documentation related to auditor performance, development, and quality systems
- Monitor auditor performance using client feedback, staff feedback, and witness audit results; support programs and auditors for effective constructive feedback, calibration, and remediation
- Align and collaborate with program leaders, QA, and HR to address auditor performance issues. Support programs and auditors in navigating complex audit scenarios and escalation pathways
- Maximize efficient and effective use of witness audits across the organization and ensure implementation of the corporate witness audit policy
- Assist with APSCA reporting and support the development of social auditors, including guidance through the APSCA examination process
- Communicate requirements and updates on auditor-related corporate policies and procedures in a timely manner to programs and contract auditors
- Actively support Auditor Hub and SCS Global Services programs in process improvements related to auditor quality, and other contract auditor-related systems including supporting programs in the use of Salesforce and other systems to manage auditor qualifications and performance data
- Working with the Auditor Workforce Planning Manager, facilitate cross-training, qualification extensions, and auditor calibration to meet program and business needs
- Develop auditor training modules to further the auditor quality program. Collaborate with programs to develop training courses addressing auditor quality/performance/ accreditation requirements. Create course content based on auditing best practices and personal auditing experience
- Partner with the Learning Hub, operational teams, and subject-matter experts to ensure auditor training is accurate, relevant, and continuously updated to reflect evolving standards and practices
- Partner with Learning & Development and the Learning Hub to deliver auditor-centric learning initiatives, track training effectiveness through LMS analytics and learner feedback, and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with the Learning Hub, Auditor Hub, operational teams, and program leadership to ensure a cohesive, high-quality SCS Global Services auditor experience. Develop initiatives to enhance the auditor experience by developing self-paced learning, peer knowledge-sharing opportunities, communities of practice, and auditor communications, including newsletters.
- Actively contribute to process improvements, harmonization of policies, and auditor-related initiatives across programs, divisions, and auditor management teams
- Identify, capturing, and disseminating auditor best practices, lessons learned, and emerging risks across programs and regions
- Serve as a corporate resource and advisor on auditor health, safety, and risk-related audit situations
- Perform other related projects and duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in natural resources, sustainability, environmental studies, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience and
- 4+ years of professional experience in environmental certification, conformity assessment/Applied experience in auditing and/or quality assurance and
- ISO training certification or willingness to complete the ISO training offered by SCS and
- APSCA ASCA or CSCA qualification and
- Complete fluency in English and work experience that involves professional and technical written communication (Advanced proficiency)
- Communicate clearly, effectively and concisely (Advanced proficiency)
- Strong organization and prioritization skills with exceptional attention to detail (Advanced proficiency)
- Language skills a strong plus, especially Spanish; other languages also considered (Advanced proficiency)
- Strong customer service and teamwork orientation (Advanced proficiency)
- Initiative, good judgment, ability to work independently, responsive and adaptive personality (Advanced proficiency)
- Proficient with business software including Outlook, Word, Excel and database management (Advanced proficiency)

Working Remotely
At this time, SCS Global Services is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS global Services as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This role will be based out of your home office.

$80,000 - $92,000
