Senior Food Safety Training & Consultant Specialist

Job Overview
The Senior Food Safety Training & Consulting Specialist is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities and operational support needs of the Food Safety Training & Consulting programs, by ensuring that the operational processes run smoothly, efficiently, and aligned with the organization's overall objectives. The position will coordinate training and consulting schedules and financials through various systems while providing internal and external engagement support to achieve exceptional service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Support Director of Training with developing and implementing the training schedule, assigning trainers, documentation management, and coordination of client needs for public and private trainings
  • Support Director of Consulting with schedule, assigning consultants, documentation management, and coordination of client needs
  • Support the VP of Food Safety with client outreach, training and consulting project coordination, and improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate support with the Learning Management System and team for public and on-demand training, including cross-functional projects and process controls
  • Support business through direct upsell of additional product solutions and client engagement
  • Assist with creating and developing proposals, work orders, and managing administrative coordination with the client
  • Identify and develop opportunities to improve processes and create effective solutions
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures
  • Contribute towards the achievement of the Company's strategic and operational objectives

Financial Management

  • Support documenting and tracking of the Training P&L budget through updating reporting tools
  • Support documenting and tracking of the Consulting P&L budget through updating reporting tools
  • Managing inputs into Salesforce and other sales tracking tools to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Coordinate invoicing of clients and consultants through initial, reviews, aging reports, and closure
  • Review and coordination of weekly financial status updates, reporting, and trackers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sciences, or relevant field is preferred AND
  • 4+ years of proven work experience or of similar role OR
  • Associate's degree in relevant field is preferred AND
  • 7+ years of proven work experience or of similar role
  • Proficient with business software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and database management
  • Initiative, good judgment, and ability to work independently under pressure in a changing environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge in Salesforce or related platforms 
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of coordinating P&Ls and budgets

Working Remotely
SCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This is a home-office based role and may include travel with local, domestic, and/or international trips. Details will be clarified during the recruitment process.

Estimated Annual Salary
$61,102.08 - $83,017.87
