Technical Associate

Division: Food and Agriculture
Position Type: Full-Time Regular

Job Overview
The Technical Associate supports the Technical Manager and Technical Associate in the administration of the relevant schemes. The position requires developing a detailed understanding of the relevant schemes and certification process. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to report review, corrective actions follow up, quality control, document control, and providing guidance to Client Services, Auditors, and Clients. The position requires high-level technical proficiency with the standard/scheme regulations, compliance criteria, and audit process.

  • PrimusGFS
  • Primus Standard GMP/GAP
  • Possibly other GFSI and non-GFSI standards

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Report Review and Auditor Interface

  • Review reports from auditors for quality, consistency, completeness, and adherence to guidelines
  • Monitor and follow up on corrective actions closure
  • Assist with assessment of contract and staff auditor’s qualifications, and ongoing work performance
  • Assist with creating auditor profiles on Azzule

Client Registration and Database Management

  • Review client documents to ensure compliance and record on the tracker
  • Maintain PGFS tracker and relevant tabs

Client Support and Communication

  • Provide excellent customer service in response to requests and inquiries
  • Assist Client Services staff with technical issues and guidance

Record Maintenance

  • Maintain complete client records
  • Data entry into 2nd and 3rd party online databases
  • Ensure that all required audit documentation is complete

Program Quality and Compliance

  • Assist the technical team with Azzule administration
  • Assist the technical team with document development and updates

Audit Services

  • Adhere to all quality and code of conduct standards
  • Conduct audits using applicable checklists, forms, and tools
  • Maintain positive client relationships and respond to all client inquiries and concerns
  • Submit complete and accurate audit reports within established timelines

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 3+ years of work-related experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English with professional experience in verbal and written communication
  • Administration or account management experience
  • Work experience involving professional written communication
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word), Outlook, and database systems

Working Remotely

SCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This is a home-office based role and may include travel with local, domestic, and/or international trips. Details will be clarified during the recruitment process.

Estimated Annual Salary

$50,000 - $70,000
