Technical Coordinator, RSPO LATAM

Job Overview
Are you an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual with a passion for client services and operational excellence? Join our dynamic team as a Technical Coordinator for the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) program, where you'll play a vital role in supporting our clients, auditors, and staff in achieving their goals.

The Technical Coordinator works to support the RSPO program clients pursuing third-party environmental certifications. This position is responsible for interfacing and relationship management with clients, audit project tasks and coordination, review of audit reports, and collaborating with program members to ensure timeline driven deadlines are met. The Technical Coordinator collaborates with fellow coordinators and the operations manager for additional support as needed.

Candidate must be fluent in Spanish and English.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Client Support & Communication

  • Receive, process, and set up new client requests with efficiency and accuracy
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met promptly
  • Interface with auditors, clients, staff, and the RSPO scheme as needed to facilitate smooth operations
  • Organize and maintain client files and documentation meticulously
  • Assist in the preparation of scoping and work orders, ensuring all necessary details are captured
  • Manage daily email and Microsoft Teams communications with auditors, clients, and internal team members regularly

Audit Coordination & Planning

  • Conduct technical review of audit reports in accordance with scheme requirements
  • Apply professional judgement on the quality of audit reports
  • Manage quality assurance aspects of the RSPO program to uphold high standards
  • Perform technical duties with the support of the technical team
  • Ensure consistent flow of audit projects and conduct field observations as needed

Operations

  • Ensure program compliance with SCS quality system
  • Maintain new, existing, and archived program files in accordance with program requirements
  • Support the program with client invoicing and manage accounts receivable processes
  • Ensure timely release of certification packets to clients
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of program procedures, protocols, and forms
  • Collaborate with technical staff to ensure timely service delivery and continuous program improvement

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Environmental Science, Sustainability, Agricultural or Food Systems, International Relations, Business Administration, etc. or
  • 2+ years of equivalent work experience including project or program coordination, client interface, data entry
  • Ability to complete time-sensitive projects and to provide realistic deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Initiative and ability to work independently and use professional judgment; responsive and adaptive
  • Excellent technical writing, observation, and data management skills
  • Ability to adapt to frequent timeline changes with complex, long-term projects
  • Ability to manage accounts receivable and invoicing processes
  • Commitment to SCS values and environmental issues
  • Professional verbal and written proficiency in Spanish and English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong demonstrated abilities in critical analysis
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and database management systems
  • Experience with third-party auditing, certification systems, or other applicable industry standards and/or knowledge
  • Certified Quality Auditor ISO 9001:2008

Working Remotely
SCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This is a home-office based role and may include travel with local, domestic, and/or international trips. Details will be clarified during the recruitment process.

Estimated Monthly Salary
$1,800 - $2,300 USD
